The whimsical, charming side of Autumn... :-)

You know those little maple tree seeds, which spin around and look like little "whirly-gigs"...   Like the drawing above...  I love to watch them twirl in the wind, on an Autumn afternoon.

I wonder if in the late evening, when less people are about to see, but the wind is still twirling them down...?  I wonder if Pixie children hop on them, and ride round and round and down and down, laughing a tinkly laugh, all the way???

Perhaps...  :-)  Perhaps...  :-)  Perhaps we should listen, more closely...  :-)

This reminds me of the beautiful childrens books... About "The Root Children"...

Aren't those illustrations simply lovely????????

And then, there is the "Miss Maple's Seeds" book.  It "...introduces the kind, nature-loving Miss Maple, who celebrates the miracle in each seed."

"Miss Maple gathers lost seeds that haven’t yet found a place to sprout. She takes them on field trips to explore places to grow. In her cozy maple tree house, she nurtures them; keeping them safe and warm until it's time...."

-clapping hands-  Just precious.  Of course, I have it coming from my library!!!  :-))))

Do you know of other whimsical and lovely and charming children's books, similar to these?  Please share the names, if you do!!!  :-)

I love children's books and collect many. I've seen these a long time ago, but haven't ever really given them a good look. Thanks so much for sharing the pretty pages.

What a lovely sharing!
I was at a thrift yesterday and picked up a lovely children's illustrated book about a scarecrow who wondered why no one wanted to be his friend.
It is still in the car and I can not recall the name. It was not a story I grew up with.
