Fire-pit... Goat products... Fasting BS...

Sunday evening, son and family (next door) had a fire in the fire-pit.

Granddaughter's boyfriend was over.  Fun times.  "S'mores" were made, of course.  And just roasted marshmallows, too.

It's a beautiful-fun time of year.

Why am I not paying more attention to the now?

And less attention to the computer?

Trying to cut back on sugar.   I know... I need to go "cold turkey."  But wonder if I can????

My blood sugar numbers are fine...  According to the present medical info.

But a book (by a doctor) I'm reading, wants fasting blood sugar to be no higher than 88.........

It seems as if, any cutback in sugar use, would have to be helpful...  Needless to say, this doc wants us to dump sugar, under all its different, sneaky names.

Yesterday, I ate some plain goat yogurt and felt so virtuous.  -grin-  All processed yogurt has "stuff" like forms of sugar, added to it.  Not this!!!

Need the goat cheese/yogurt, etc., because I can tolerate that.  But my bod can't tolerate dairy, any more.

There were some lovely photos in this post! We can't get my daughter to eat s'mores. She likes to eat the components separately. But yeah, we struggle with too much sugar too. It seems to be a big part of culture.

Definitely hard to give up sugar, I love the sweetness.
BTW, no I didn't buy the glass pumpkin, but did find a small gift for a friend.

Great photos! I hear you on the computer time... gosh it gobbles up days and weeks, and months! I am trying to cut back to only blogging once a week but if I let my email go more than a couple of days it gets overwhelming! Ahh, sugar, yes indeed I need to quit the evil little chemical :D and my numbers are not great anymore! I also hear you on the dairy thing... not agreeing with me much any longer... getting older does have it's challenges...
Hugs,
Beth

Seriously Clarice, are you a mind reader, lol...

Went shopping for a fire pit today; still looking

Been trying to cut down on sugar since Monday, very difficult especially since I use a lot of sugar in coffee. (thankfully I am down to only three cups a day, still too much.)

Went to a local dairy farm today for farm fresh milk. Guess what is "brewing" as we speak? Home made yogurt:)

Thanks for sharing, Clarice...good luck with the sugar monster

P.s. GREAT shots!

Have you heard of Hailey Pomroy? She has a blog and eating plan based on detoxing your body. It's been very beneficial for her.

Sitting beside a cosy fire, and taking joy in a bit of quiet time, might be the perfect way to keep the sugar monster at bay.
Wishing you a lovely Autumn day (sans sugar.)
Sending hugs ...
