Frost ... Last harvest ... Yarn ... Etc.

Down into the 20's last night.  (Sun. night to Mon. morning)  The 'Frost Faeries' did the little Bird Bath Fountain.

But I think 'Jack Frost' himself, painted my neighbor's garage roof.   That looks like it was done, in too broad brush strokes, for wee little Faeries.  :-)))

Chippy must have his nest ready and waiting for him.

A typical sight, from all the rainy weather, we were having, last week.  Happily, it seems to have gone away.  This morning..  (Mon. morning)   the barometer can't hardly go any higher!!!

My mother sewed beautifully.  I sewed a little.  Never knitted though.  ..........  My mother-in-law was a fantastic knitter.  She taught our daughter to knit, when she was 7 years old.  And she never forgot. ..........  She knits, knits, knits...  And spins her own yarn.  And even does lace.

I finally asked her  (my daughter)  to teach me...  She was kind of amazed!  Brought me over  (she lives just 2 doors over...) some yarn and needles, and taught me.  I poked away at it.  Yesterday we went to a local yarn shop and I picked out a pretty color yarn and bigger needles.  :-)))))

This picture was taken of my "goodies," on my favorite chair.  See the colors?  You can see my color preference.  :-))))

Another example of our now gone, rainnnnnny weather.

Sat., son next door, was cleaning out their gardens...  The 2 smallest "Grands" brought over some fresh-picked-carrots.  :-)

Our 15 year old Granddaughter, will not eat candy.  She is concerned about what she puts into her body.  She loves volleyball, goes to the gym with her aunt, and I think that is soooo dedicated and wonderful.

And she is still a "girly-girl", with a cute boyfriend!!!  :-)

Wanna' come Trick-Or-Treating, at my house??? ,-)

Wanna' come to my house???

Wanna' go Trick Or Treating, here????

Well, if you can't make the trip easily...  From your neck of the woods...  Find an old sparkly cape, and a completely outrageous witch's hat (with spiders on the veil), and have your own fun, with the Trick Or Treaters.

One more day... ,-)

 Wed. AM
First snow greeted me!
It will be lucky if it even makes a "dusting," but still, it is the first snow fall of the year.
"Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells..."  ,-)

I hit the jackpot!  ,-)  Actually, I failed to pay for my subscription, till late, and the mailing got mixed up.  It's my fault.  But it's fine.  I still will enjoy the Autumn issue.

Don't know about you, but we LOVE  "Duck Dynasty"!!!  We've been watching, since our next-door son introduced us to it, this spring.  LOVE it!!!

I got Phil's book and Willy's book, out of the library.  And was going to buy the books, for both our families.  Son had to fly (for work) and downloaded Phil's book to his Kindle.  So he could read it, on the plane.  I finally got Willy's book, for my daughter in law, who really likes Willy.  :-)
(My fav... JASE!)

And I got Si's book of course.  Between real books and Kindle, both families have the Duck Dynasty books, now!!!!  :-)

The visit by "The Frost Faeries," seems to have turned that bush, to really red.  I prefer it this way, rather than the kind of orange-y, it's been.  Thank you 'Frost Faeries'!

Yes, that photo has had a blurry effect, done to it.  Blurry is one of the things I can do, with the iPhoto Ap, which comes right on my iMac.  I don't have any of the "real" Photo-shopping-Downloads.  Don't want 'em, actually.  I don't care for fancy effects, done with the "real" Photo-shopping-Downloads.  But that's just me!!!

Watch out though!  I may get on a "Blurry Kick."  You could be inundated with blurry pics!  Eeeek!  ,-)

This isn't blurry though.  It's the beautiful old Oak Tree, in the next yard.  We love, love, love this tree.

A more close-up...  Isn't it a majestic tree?  -happy sigh-

"October's Party"
 October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came-
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

The 'Frost Faeries' passed by...

This morning (Tues.) the barometer is all the way up in Fair.  It's been rising and rising, and clear sky last night....

So yesterday, I took some photos of the flowers, which were still blooming........

And this morning, this is what greeted me...

Poor fallen Cosmos...

And a fuzzy pic of frost...  Yes, the Frost Faeries were about last night.

But in photos, we still have memories of wee little Moss Roses, hanging-on until the last...

But inside, the little "Ghost House" is happy still.

"The Ghost House" is the favorite, of our 3 year old next-door Grandson.  It's mine tooooo, and has been, for years and years.  He also loves the "Candy Corn" lights.  :-)
Since he's too heavy for me to lift up, to see the mantle up-close, I took down each "Happy Witch" at a time, and showed them to him.  No ugly, icky, mad, not cute Witches in 'Nana's' decorations.  Only cute ones!!!

'Grey House' movie sets and etc.......

I love movie sets, of inside old houses.  Love the sets, more than the plot of the movie.  :-)  The sets which are supposed to be inside 'Grey House,' in "The Good Witch" movies on Hallmark Channel, are sooooooooo wonderful!  Just what you would picture an old house to be.  Gorgeous deep wall colors, and lots of beautiful original woodwork, and old picture frames on the walls and....  Oh just purrrrrrrfect!  (To me, anyway...)

So I really enjoyed this past weekend's marathon of "The Good Witch" movies, on The Hallmark Channel.  Oh yes!  Oh those sets!  Oh happy sigh!!!

And the stories are sweet also.  Delightful and charming and with a message of tolerance.  :-)  And not, not, not scary!

Have you seen any of them?

And I all-of-a-sudden realized that Halloween is near.  As of today/Mon., it is only 3 days off.

It's really time to post my Halloween themed photos.

And of course, to give my blog a fun Halloween Look.  I think the cute, scardy-cat-pumpkin header pic is purrrrfect.  And the vintage illustrations Background too.
