Old fashioned~Pretty~~~~~And Spoiler Alert~

Isn't that lovely?  It's called "The Lady Of The Snows" by George Henry Boughton.   It is the cover art, on the latest 'Victorian Trading Co.' catalog.  They know how to gently get someone "in the mood" of the Season.  :-)

I say "gently," because they simply display beautiful items.  Mostly old fashioned looking items.  Not the glitzy need-batteries-items, which are everywhere else.

And I'm taking these fun, old, Christmas themed CD's out of the library, before they become in demand.  :-)

Book Lovers' Day!!! And 'Darius'..........

Today, the first Saturday of November is
Book Lovers' Day.  So I have been told by "DogsMom Visits" blog.   Thank you much to "DogsMom"!

Anyone remember these?  Old fashioned card catalogs?  Sure enough, I do.  But then, I am "olden".  :-)

Happily, I am a Book Lover.  And I'm happy to celebrate today.

Source
Of course, who wouldn't be thrilled to visit any one of these pictured libraries????

Source
Who could remain not a book lover, when visiting in these???  Happy sigh...

In '99 we spent 8 wonderful days in Paris.  My only regret, is not going into...

"Shakespeare And Company."

We walked by, and did not enter.   Because  I was in a hurry to get to...

"Darius'" church, from "Highlander, The Series"...  Which I did go into, though...

"From the first season onward, the 13th century Church of St. Julien le Pauvre in Paris was a shooting location for Highlander: the Series, which ran for six seasons.......... Located on the Left Bank of the Seine in the Latin Quarter, St. Julien sits across the river from Notre Dame in a little park called the Square René Viviani.........The church made its television debut in the pivotal Season One episode Band of Brothers, which also introduced Duncan MacLeod's friend and mentor Darius, a 2000-year-old Immortal priest with an unusual past."

Does anyone remember watching "Highlander, The Series"?  And the character of 'Darius'???????

Anyone?

Anyone?

Anyone?

'Grey House' movie sets and etc.......

I love movie sets, of inside old houses.  Love the sets, more than the plot of the movie.  :-)  The sets which are supposed to be inside 'Grey House,' in "The Good Witch" movies on Hallmark Channel, are sooooooooo wonderful!  Just what you would picture an old house to be.  Gorgeous deep wall colors, and lots of beautiful original woodwork, and old picture frames on the walls and....  Oh just purrrrrrrfect!  (To me, anyway...)

So I really enjoyed this past weekend's marathon of "The Good Witch" movies, on The Hallmark Channel.  Oh yes!  Oh those sets!  Oh happy sigh!!!

And the stories are sweet also.  Delightful and charming and with a message of tolerance.  :-)  And not, not, not scary!

Have you seen any of them?

And I all-of-a-sudden realized that Halloween is near.  As of today/Mon., it is only 3 days off.

It's really time to post my Halloween themed photos.

And of course, to give my blog a fun Halloween Look.  I think the cute, scardy-cat-pumpkin header pic is purrrrfect.  And the vintage illustrations Background too.

"Good job!" Photo fun... "Blog Look fun"...

Yes they did...  "NCIS" did well, with the first part of saying good-bye to 'Ziva.'  At least, that's my view.  If you watch "NCIS," would you please share your view, of this difficult passage, for a long-running show...?  Please and thank you.

I used the beautiful sunshine we've been enjoying, to do some playing-with-light-and-shadow photos.  Fun...  Just fun...

And I've been playing around with "blog look" here, too.  A large part of the FUN of blogging, for me, is fixing the way my blog "looks," when people click on it.

I love to change the "look," often.

I love to be happy, when I myself, click into my blog.  :-)

I simply have a lot of fun, with this aspect of blogging.

Some people hardly ever change anything, about their blog look, and that is fine for them.  Some change often, like I do.  And so I guess, some are in-be-tween.  :-)

Do you get fun, out of seeking out new "blog looks" for your blog?  Have you ever tried doing it?  Not major changes!  People get scared of messing everything up, when trying to do major changes.  But the Header picture is pretty easy, to change.  Simple Backgrounds can be found free, on the net.  One can make their own Backgrounds, just with a small pic of a swatch of pretty fabric...  Etc.

:-)

New Season... New Changes...

'NCIS'  ~~  tonight  ~~  The ensemble and we, start saying Good Bye to 'Ziva.'

We don't watch many regular tv shows.  But we do watch 'NCIS.'  I hope the writers do a good job, with having 'Ziva' exit the show.

Will a new tv show, make my cold feel better???? ,-)

Ugh...  My second day of early Autumn cold...

Ugh...  Seems that no matter what one does, a cold lingers for about 7 days.

So...  Today being Day #2...  That would leave 5 more days to go.   Ugh....

But 'Sleepy Hollow' starts tonight!  On tv.

Yes, yet another visit to Sleepy Hollow.  I've enjoyed some.
Enjoyed "The Hollow" book Series...

So, I hope to watch this, on tv...  Check it out.  See if it's fun.  Fun for me, would be...  Entertaining tv...   Not bloody/crashingly/scary.  -grin-
