Blogging theme questions...

Searching again, for blogs which love/display magical thinking and whimsey and faeries, etc.  Really the only one I have found, which balances out all these things...  Is Cielo's.  I first found her "The House In The Roses" blog, and loved it.  She has moved and now writes in "The Here And Now" blog.

Faerie lights

Her way of blogging is the best example, of this.  And hers, seems to be about the only example of what I love.  -sigh-  Am I the only one, who just loves her blog(s)?

No, because people comment in her blogs.  But does anyone else, want to write/picture a blog, in a (somewhat) similar way?

Yes, I do.  But I'm not nearly so talented.    I try.  Without anywhere near her success.  But, I do try.

Are there others out there, like me?  Who love these aspects of blogging?  And if so, why haven't I found them?

Are there any others, who would love to even try, but don't?

December 1st... About the Celebration...

Some decorating done...  Even the mantle (above) isn't fully done, but it looks colorful and bright with Faerie Lights.

The collection of hand-carved Santas...  Which my husband has made, over the years.  Wooden decorations are nice.  They won't break, over the packed-away-time.  :-)

I love sweet old fashioned Christmas illustrations!

This post is sparse.  I've been composing another "Sometimes I Write" Page entry, though.  On the topic of "The Celebration Of This Time Of Year"...

For a little while..................

Periodically, my back pains me.  When this happens, I can not sit at my computer for long.

I have to sit in my med. recliner, with ice pack on my back.   If I deal with my back, this way......   It will cease hurting.  If I don't, it will continue to hurt.

So I apologize ahead of time, for not being able to read and make comments on your blog(s), for a little awhile.

Old fashioned~Pretty~~~~~And Spoiler Alert~

Isn't that lovely?  It's called "The Lady Of The Snows" by George Henry Boughton.   It is the cover art, on the latest 'Victorian Trading Co.' catalog.  They know how to gently get someone "in the mood" of the Season.  :-)

I say "gently," because they simply display beautiful items.  Mostly old fashioned looking items.  Not the glitzy need-batteries-items, which are everywhere else.

And I'm taking these fun, old, Christmas themed CD's out of the library, before they become in demand.  :-)

"Tasha Tudor Time"...

It's "Tasha Tudor Time"...  Yet again...

When "the exsecramentum hits the rotating wind device," in one's neck of the woods, it really helps to delve into "Tasha Tudor Time," or "Tasha Tudor Mode."

Who is Tasha Tudor, some might ask...?  Please click on this link-->  Who is Tasha Tudor?

Please click on this link-->Tasha Tudor and Family

And on this one-->To purchase items...

Tasha was many things.  All of which, she chose to be.  She lived her life, as she wished.  Hard at times, yes.  But.......  As she wished.   To me, that is her most wonderful legacy.

When "the exsecramentum hits the rotating wind device," in one's neck of the woods........  What do I mean, by this??????????   Well, I wrote a post, first thing, but decided not to post it, on the front of my blog.  I put it in "Pages," which can be found by looking down, to the bottom of my Side Bar.  ("Sometimes I rant")  If you wonder, what "had my knickers in a twist", you can find out there.  Or not.  Your choice.

Frost ... Last harvest ... Yarn ... Etc.

Down into the 20's last night.  (Sun. night to Mon. morning)  The 'Frost Faeries' did the little Bird Bath Fountain.

But I think 'Jack Frost' himself, painted my neighbor's garage roof.   That looks like it was done, in too broad brush strokes, for wee little Faeries.  :-)))

Chippy must have his nest ready and waiting for him.

A typical sight, from all the rainy weather, we were having, last week.  Happily, it seems to have gone away.  This morning..  (Mon. morning)   the barometer can't hardly go any higher!!!

My mother sewed beautifully.  I sewed a little.  Never knitted though.  ..........  My mother-in-law was a fantastic knitter.  She taught our daughter to knit, when she was 7 years old.  And she never forgot. ..........  She knits, knits, knits...  And spins her own yarn.  And even does lace.

I finally asked her  (my daughter)  to teach me...  She was kind of amazed!  Brought me over  (she lives just 2 doors over...) some yarn and needles, and taught me.  I poked away at it.  Yesterday we went to a local yarn shop and I picked out a pretty color yarn and bigger needles.  :-)))))

This picture was taken of my "goodies," on my favorite chair.  See the colors?  You can see my color preference.  :-))))

Another example of our now gone, rainnnnnny weather.

Sat., son next door, was cleaning out their gardens...  The 2 smallest "Grands" brought over some fresh-picked-carrots.  :-)

Our 15 year old Granddaughter, will not eat candy.  She is concerned about what she puts into her body.  She loves volleyball, goes to the gym with her aunt, and I think that is soooo dedicated and wonderful.

And she is still a "girly-girl", with a cute boyfriend!!!  :-)

"Darius'" church, from "Highlander, The Series"...  Which I did go into, though...

"From the first season onward, the 13th century Church of St. Julien le Pauvre in Paris was a shooting location for Highlander: the Series, which ran for six seasons.......... Located on the Left Bank of the Seine in the Latin Quarter, St. Julien sits across the river from Notre Dame in a little park called the Square René Viviani.........The church made its television debut in the pivotal Season One episode Band of Brothers, which also introduced Duncan MacLeod's friend and mentor Darius, a 2000-year-old Immortal priest with an unusual past."

Does anyone remember watching "Highlander, The Series"?  And the character of 'Darius'???????

Anyone?

Anyone?

Anyone?
